I can recommend a few of tools for doing the network analysis -- here are <a href="http://delicious.com/mediaczar/networks+tools" rel="nofollow">some of my bookmarks</a>. The tool we use most often are <a href="http://www.analytictech.com/" rel="nofollow">Analytic Technology's</a> UCInet and NetDraw. A combination of those and Excel are pretty much what you need.
